1971 Mustang M code....351C 4V questions.

Research on this engine is leading me to believe it could be either a 2-bolt or a 4-bolt block.

What's the scoop???

ive pulled out cobra jet 351 clevlands ,from a 4v cougar 71 and lost a box of long knecks ,that it would be 4bolter, than another cougar 71 not a cj just 4v ,and it was .OUT with drain plug and get light out or pan off ,sorry its a crap shoot bill

Same here, I have pulled 4 bolts from 2V station wagons, but 4V headed Mach I's had 2 bolt mains, I guess it was whatever came down the assembly line that went into the cars.

it seems your a falcon guy well i worked on a 1964 post falcon raced out of westown ford in tilbury ontario canada it was one of less than 50 ,it was a special ordered car from a ford [dealership] in canada , that was a 271 hp, 289 4 speed ,9inch , with black outside and brown inside, very rare car, ok bill
