There NO miles on the motor, it was rebuilt, and put on the engine stand, I sold theÂ*
car that I was going to put it in, so I don't need it any more, that is why I am selling
it.

1966 Ford "K" Short block, with 1968, 302 heads.
( This motor ran low 13’s at Lions Drag Strip in a Mustang Coupe in 1968- 69. )

This block is an original 1966 K-Code Warranty Block, it will go in any 1966 K
Code Mustang, and be the correct K motor, because it is an Original Ford Factory
Warranty Replacement K - code Motor.

The short block has been kept stock, and was honed, and not bored because it did not need to be, and it has the following. ( All parts were Magnafluxed. )

1. The motor is Balanced, and Blueprinted.

Â*Â*Â*Â* b. New Chromoly rings.
Â*Â*Â*Â* c. New Hydralic Racing Cam, and lifters.
Â*Â*Â*Â* d. New timing change, & gears.

2. Heads are 1968, 302 heads.Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â* Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â* Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*
Â*Â*Â* a. Ported.
Â*Â*Â* b. New hardened seats.Â*
Â*Â*Â* c. New Valve guides.
Â*Â*Â* d. Three Angel ground valves.
Â*Â*Â* e. Locking valve adjusting nuts.
Â*Â*Â*Â* f. Cam Springs.

3.Â* The motor can now run unleaded gas if you choose to, or run leaded gas.

4. Carb. Manifold is an EdelblockÂ* Hi - rise 289 " Torker " manifold.

5. Dist. Is a Mallory Dual Point.

6. The rear of the block has 6 bolts for the bell housing.

7. Comes with a C- 6 trans that needs to be rebuilt.

8. The motor comes complete as pictured.Â* ( No Carb, Starter, or Plug Wires, and No Motor Stand. )

I think that is a little steep with stock heads, no matter how much work is done to them. I don't know about the tranny. But I wouldn't pay that much for a 289.

Decent price for a guy doing a K-code restoration... but for a guy wanting to build a strong street motor you can build one much better for same or less price.

289 K block is essentially worthless without the hipo heads, which he obviously does not have. Guy's a dreamer or waiting for another sucker to be born.[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]

fx... youre right. I was thinking more about the date coded block for a K-code resto.... those guys will pay.... but not even that much.

What exactly was the motor blueprinted to? I think a lot of people say that a motor is blueprinted when it has actually only been balanced. Blueprinted actually refers to the motor being built to exacting standards. (i.e. Nascar motors are blueprinted so that each motor they use in the car performs identically to the other spares). Blueprinting an engine alone could cost you thousands of dollars to be done correctly.
