locker, full spool or mini spool?

I have an 8" rear end that I was planning on putting in my bracket car 2300# with driver (it really is 2300#). It has a mini spool but Im concerned with something breaking like the case. I would love to run a full spool and call it good since my truck is 95% race and 5% street driven but I cannot find anyone who sells a full spool for an 8", anyone know where to find one?? My other option is a Richmond Powertrax locker but it uses the existing case like the mini spool so Im concerned of breaking it. I will be running a 430hp small block and 28" by 12.5" ET streets. I am considering welding on a large support gusset on the rear of the 8" just like they do on the 9" in dragsters, anybody try this?

I ran a 28 spline mini spool with stock axles in a 9" in the very low 11's with a 3300 lb. car.

I now run a 31 spline mini spool with Strange axles.

90% strip, 10% street. Annoying on the street, but I haven't had any issues with it.
