Modifying seat tracks.

I'm too tall to use the clutch properly in my 65' with Pony interior. I'm always hitting the steering wheel and the door handle (OUCH) with my knee.

I recently chopped down my seat platforms, as found here http://www.mustangsplus.com/tech/seat/index.html

Although I gained some clearance, I would still like to be able to push the seat more to the rear.

Does anyone have a web site or a picture of how to modify the stock stang's seat tracks (or seat base) to allow one to move the seat further to the rear?

Adjusting the seat forward will not be needed.

I don't know of any site or modification to the tracks to give you what you want. My Idea--just move the seat and brackets backwards. Drill four holes and you are done.

Modifying seat tracks.

I had exactly the same problem. I am 6'3" tall and could barely fit into my car... So what I did was get a section of 2 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch flat steel (3 inches long) and welded a section onto the rear of the seat track... then ground down the bolt that is used as a stop.
Worked perfectly and gives me lots of lef room. I can email some pics if you PM me.
