Power steering to manual steering adapters

What are your true opinions on how they work and feel? I'm thinking of putting one in my '66 Fairlane. My FPA headers are so close to the power ram it melts the rubber. I have a 3/4" spacer under my drop bracket to lower the ram already and it actually rocks back an forth a bit. If thee adaperts work like they say they do, I'll kill a whole flock of birds with that change. For those not familiar these replace the control valve and eliminate the power ram and pump.

I have one on my mustang. I installed it before the car went strip only. It feels good, more road feel but if you have a small steering wheel, it is harder to steer when the car is not moving. It was a great move to get rid of one of Fords bad ideas for power steering.

I converted my 68 cougar from power to manual steering. I like it much better now. My only complaint is that it still turns too easily, but I've since bought a smaller steering wheel. Hopefully that will make it a bit tougher to steer. I should have it back on the road with the new steering wheel in a few weeks.
