launching rpm/technique????
Depends on the cam, converter, etc. I get a better 60' launching at 2000~2200 rather than anything higher. If you get too deep into the torque curve of the engine, you'll use up the pulling power. Foot brake auto will also be different than trans brake auto, mostly because you can't get near flash or true stall with your foot on the brake. They way you find out where you need to launch your particular combination is to make a lot of passes and read the time slips. I use an indicator light triggered off the ignition system RPM switch to stage at the same RPM each launch.
