Victor Jr or Super Victor?

I have a 351W with AFR 205 heads, solid roller cam, 11.6 to 1, and a C-4 with a 4400 stall. Since I recently changed to AFR heads, I am wondering if I should change the intake as well. I am currently running the Victor Jr but wonder now if the ports on this intake are large enough for the new heads. Any thoughts???

Yeah, get out the grinder and open up the Vic Jrs.

P.S. As long as there is enough meat in the ports to get close to the size of the 205s.

I guess I should add more info. The cam is a solid roller with 260/268 degrees @ .050", .673" in/ex and a 106 lobe seperation.

It also has a 825 Mighty Demon. I haven't run it yet. It is still on the engine stand.

Does anyone have a comparison after running one type of head then the AFR 205's?

Kinda sorta...as they say.

Twisted Wedge on a 427W w/Vic Jr and 230/238 HR cam, box stock holley: 455HP @ 5200

AFR205s on 418W w/Super Vic, 258/260 SR cam, DaVinci prepped carb: 622HP @ 6400

Your smaller displacement will need some RPM to use up the 205s but you can make a s-load of power with them.

I would stick with the VJ or air-gap with your combo however.

From the MM&FF cylinder head test series of a couple years ago:

I'd use the vic jr you have but gasket match the intake to the ports on the 205's. Grind and blend the intake to the heads. 1262 gasket if I remember right.
