trans cooler clearance?

Is 1/4 inch enough space between the fan and the trans cooler? keep in mind i have virtually no other place to mount it. The cooler is a "thin" style, six pass, 3/4 inch perma cool.

Sounds a little too close to me. What if the fan flexes?? I'd like to see twice that, 1/2 inch.

Next to the engine fan?? No way. Under high RPM (>4000) the fan might pull its way into the cooler.(big problems)
Id also say that putting it after the radiator is pretty much a waste of time anyways. you pouring hot air from the radiator onto the "cooler ". It might not do anything at all in that position.
Im curious why you cant mount it in front of the radiator?
If you absolutely cant , then id look into a Cooler with the small 8 inch fan mounted to it so you can mount it anywhere you have some space without worrying about air flow.
