What\'s a good head for a 393/408 windsor?

I'd go with the 205s if you're gonna street/strip it. BUT go with the 225s if it's MORE strip than street..........:&gt

I've got Vic Jr's with work on them and I LOVE THEM !!!! I've got a 408 with 579hp. HOWEVER I am a open minded person (means i like to waste money on tests) and on my next 408 it will have 205's to give them a try.

Are you the same dude that did a few hot laps around a parking lot in a mustang, then hit yourself in the head with a shovel? I've been trying to scour the archives for that video, but I haven't been able to come up with it. It's a must see.

I'm doing a 408 and since I already have T/W heads I am having them ported to 205 by TEA a slight bump over afr,s and better low end.

The vic jrs appear to be the better deal for what I need being roughly $500 bucks cheaper than the AFR 205s..However I noticed most guys saying they have done additional work to the jrs..How much additional work?...Porting is very expensive so this could offset the lower price of the jrs.

Since you are building a street stroker, I'd say go with some AFR 205's or some of these http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...t.phtml?p=1471

I've bought 3 sets of these and I would buy another set if I had the extra cash. They have more cross section than a Victor Jr and dual bolt pattern so you can make a real man's exhaust port.
