What\'s a good head for a 393/408 windsor?

The vic jr's will make 500 hp out of the box no prob. That deal from Livernois Motorsports looks real good too.

frdnut, check out this video. This is with a .236, .242 @.50 with .611,.616 lift cam with a 110 lobe sep. This is my 414. Like I said it's close to unfriendly for street driving.

TW gets my vote. I have a set ported by TEA to a 1262 and they flow 313 at .600 lift. My 9:1 EFI 306 made 308 RWHP through a TKO 500 trans. Weak. but they loved the juice. Sprayed a 200 shot from a NX SysteMaxII plate kit and got 263 RWHP gain for a total of 571 RWHP (678rwtrq)!!!

Now I am building a 347 (using the new BOSS302 block) and can't wait to see how the heads respond to the extra cubes. I personally think that they were to big for a 306 low compression motor... Time will tell.

I'm doing a 408 and since I already have T/W heads I am having them ported to 205 by TEA a slight bump over afr,s and better low end.

Remember I'm looking for a bolt on head that will work with readily available headers for a 68 mustang.I don't want to have to have them ported either thats why I'm going to a bigger head now..

Are you the same dude that did a few hot laps around a parking lot in a mustang, then hit yourself in the head with a shovel? I've been trying to scour the archives for that video, but I haven't been able to come up with it. It's a must see.

If you guys find it, let me know, I'd love to see that lol.
