Flexplate for Late motor to early C4

Does anyone know if there is a flexplate available for a later 1980 302 to an early C4 trans. I will be installing tomorrow and need to make sure I have the corect flywheel. I believe the 302 is 50oz.

I was also told that that year was internal balanced so what's on the back should not matter. Any thoughts or help appreciated!!

Did you know…
1968-80 302 engines were built with a 28-ounce imbalance factor.
1981-01 302 engines were built with a 50-ounce imbalance factor.
1969-97 351W engines were built with a 28-ounce imbalance factor.
1970-74 351C engines were built with a 28-ounce imbalance factor.
NOTE: Severe engine damage will result if you use the wrong flywheel or damper on your engine.

Based on that, you need a 28oz C4 flexplate. These should be easy to find localy is wrecking yards that have older cars or call a Mustang shop in your area. Get the small reinforcing ring while you're at it. The Ford part number is C2OZ-6A366-A. You can ask your local Ford dealer parts counter for one.
