Wheel to quarter clearance?

how much clearance does there need to be between the front and rear edge of the quarter to the slicks

Wheel to quarter clearance?

Just enough so that it doesn't rub..........Okay, I'm a SA. I wouldn't get any closer than about an 1" and that might be pushing it. Depending on the size of the slick, it will grow somewhat during a burnout.
