Slight FPA header fitment problem

Haven't tried to get a spark plug out yet. But if it is as tight as you say it is, I might take a standard socket and turn it down on my lathe and see if I can make the wall thin enough to get in there. That would suck though because how are you supposed to check your plugs at the track for a lean of rich condition?

I don't know LOL, I use a wide band sensor. But I'd still like to be able to take my plugs out without pulling headers. I'll take a pic later in the day.

Yeah, the wideband would be nice, but for us stuck in the past, pullin' a plug is the good old fashioned way

I can get a socket on the AFR plugs, they use a smaller plug then the cast heads did, the 3924 are what I run. I mocked them up on the iron heads and there was no way a socket was gonna get past that flange.

So is this problem due to the headers or the heads?

problem at the idler arm is due to the headers (I sent FPA a Dart head to help design the headers.) To FPA's defense however, the Dart heads have a horrible plug angle making it very tough to cut a flange around.

I'm using a Milodon deep sump. I *think* it seals fine, but I qualify that because I do have a decent oil leak that I have not been able to locate yet.
