was your engine speciffically balanced externally? Or is it the standard 28 or 50 oz balance? If its 28 get a 28 oz flywheel, if its 50 get a 50 oz flywheel. If the engine is speciffically external balanced, take your old flywheel and the new one to a very good engine shop and have them matched and your good to go

if you have a 28 oz imbalance there will be no need to take them in just get the new flywheel with the 28 oz imbalance already on it you will be good to go

but its not like the flywheel only goes on one way right...so that imbalance would be off? should i degree out the counterweight on the oen i have now and make the counter weight on the new one match the old indexed degree?

The flywheel only goes on one way. One of the holes in the flywheel (and one of the threaded holes in the crank) are offset.

I'm with 89Trooper ...

You won't be able to put it on wrong no matter how hard you might try.

There is only one position where the holes will all line up.
