68 GT 350/500 Hood

This may seem like a stupid question. But does anyone know if a 60 GT 350/500 hood would fit on at 70 mustang?

Also what about the standard 68 hood w/ turn signal indiactors?

Thanks!!!

I think 68 and 70 are much different. Somebody will chime in that knows for sure, but im pretty sure 69 was a remodeled year

1969 and 70s will inner change on mustangs but Shelbys wont fit with out matching fenders and they would have to be 69 or 70 also. 1970s Have turn signal built into hood scoop. Good luck

Thanks for the help guys. Main reason i asked was that i really liked the styling of the 68 shelby hood. I found a mold on fiberglass piece that will work for what i want. I forget which site it was, will post after i find out. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guy is grafting one on a Maverick. I like the mean nostril look of the '68 too but the scoop is pretty much the entire hood! Stu

Yeah i love the look of it. I was just at a car show this past weekend and saw a 68 Gt500KR and it reaffirmed what i liked so much about the look of the hood. I was thinking of grafting it to a 70 Gt500 hood. I think it would look pretty cool to have the 68 intake and the 70 heat exhaust look. Make it really unique to say the least,

Well the back of the '68's has the louvers on it. Not quite the same as the '69/'70 outlets though.

The '69/'70 GT350/500 hood is a pricey devil!

BTW The hoods on a 67/68 differ from '69/'70 dimension wise. If you look at a '69/'70 you'll notice it tapers at the front whereas the '67/'68 is straight.

Thanks. Yeah been looking at the prices and all. Yeah it is the intake of the 68 and the outlets on the 70 that i like. Found a 68 mold-on piece that is the 68 til just below the louvers. Figure i could graft the front section on with the proper modifications to both peices for proper fit.
