How much slip should be exposed on a slip yoke?

Well in the dirt latemodel we ste the drive shaft slip yoke at 1.5 inches in. yes that means there is only 1.5 inches in the tail shaft. This is due to the fact that when under throttle off the corner the left rear moves down and forward and the distance is needed to not bottom the slip. Now that has all changed with the Bert Ball spline that has a splined shaft out of the back of the trans that the u joint connects too that will pull out a little over 6 inches. Thought it would be a little insight to your issue as I believe you have none at the distance you are working with atm
