ford 400m?

I want to put a 351m/400 into a 68 fairlane. has anyone done this before?I think the 66-71 fairlanes and comets are simular. I see some mounts for 77 ltd with a 400 use the ear type motor mounts that use one large bolt holding the motor mount to the frame mount. is the spacing side to side compatable with the 289-351s(seem to be the same.)

I don't know of any but they are getting more popular every year! They even had a dedicated line of aftermarket power parts for them as of this year I believe.

I don't see why not. There are several guys who have put them in Australian Falcons. http://ford400.100webcustomers.com/v8main.html

Re: ford 400m?

Comets are fairlines are completely different fairlane from 68-71 is pretty much the same before that I am unsure but if its fits a 351w it should fit a 400 with a little massaging.

so yeah it will fit just takes some specialty parts
