I'm running a 302 with a fat (586 lift solid roller) cam and a set of 63cc 204 intake Z304A AL Heads with a PA C4, 380 stall and a brake, connected to an 8" with 4:11 gears running slicks at the track.
I currently run 1 5/8" long tube heades with 2.5 exhaust followed by an X pipe and a pair of flow master 40s with pipes all the way out the back.
Would I get better 1/8 or 1/4 mile performance installing a set of 2.5 exhaust cut outs fore or aft of my X pipe?
My first guess would be aft but the instructions show connecting them straight to the header dump. The further back you put them create more back pressure, right?
I really don't have alot of back pressure at the moment the flowmaster 40's do a pretty good job, it's just that I can't hear my car in the starting box very well when everyone else is running open headers.
Thanks,
