Main Studs & Head Bolt?

Should I just but new ones? I am taking a D4 357W (Built circa 1990) to 408. The 357 has ONLY about 1k miles of friday afternoon stress relievers on it & 2 miles of the 1320
Hate to even open up the oil pan, it's got so few miles on it.
All in the name of "Powered By Ford"

Re: Main Studs & Head Bolt?

Is it aftermarket hardware or original hardware. I'm assuming since you've said you only have 1,000 miles that these were bought new when you rebuilt the 357. I would just reuse them if it were me. I've reused 35+ year old main and head bolts w/o probs. And I always reuse them in non performance applications.

HAHA, if they are ARP and 50 years old, as long as they look good and aren't rusty, reuse them with confidence!!!
