does this look original

took the intake off the 289 the other day and was amazed at how clean it was under there.
i thought fore a 1965 - 289 there is no way this could be stock it must have been rebuilt at one time.
does this look like a stock piston.
if so not bad fore 42 years old.

heres a few more anyone know the cc of these pistons.










even the heads were realy clean no sludge any where.
and i could still see some crosshatch in the cylinders.
the ridge at the top seems to be very little.
now what can this little thing take

i dont think those are stock i recently took apart a stock 289 and it had dished pistons but there were no valve reliefs in the pistons

I think the valve reliefs would be a dead give away that those aren't stock pistons.

The releifs and the fact that there's still cros ahtch in it and a very tiny ridge

maybe i need glasses.
after looking at it again its 040 over.
still reel clean though
