what timing light do you use on a msd dig. 6

The directions for my msd dig 6 box say not to use a digital or a dial back timing light. So what kind of timing light do you use?

I just use a old cheap inductive pickup light I have had since the 70s. Works fine.

You want to make sure your timing marker on your vibe dampner goes all the way up to 50 degrees BTDC. The standard marks only go to 25 degrees BTDC, and you will not have enough information to tune your motor.

The MSD Timing tape is about $5.00 Use a regular mag pickup timing light, clamped onto #1 wire.

Exactly. The newer lights are sometimes confused by the multiple sparks. I recently got a old Craftsman light off ebay for $15. Looked brand new and still in the original box.
