Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys,

Alright I have a 68 fastback with a 1995 cobra drive line in it. It drives like a dream until I try to go past half throttle. When I hit half throttle in any gear the car shuts off, cuts in and out and starts bucking like crazy. I mean wiplash bad. I thought is was the way the fuel pump was mounted. I fixed hat but it still does it. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I am very desperate this is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Rod

Re: Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is your definition of an "entire 95 Cobra driveline"? Tells us what you have and what you have done that isn't stock.

Re: Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did you wire up the power to the EFI harness? If you put a constant 12V source to the distributor/tfi, that is your problem. It can only receive 12V during cranking.

Re: Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuel pressure issue I'll bet... Nothing like agood dose of AIR to make a car stop accelerating...

PLease do answer what everything came out of and this driveline thing you're talking about.... How can the driveline ave anything to do with the engine?....?.....?......?

Re: Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm, does it do it while free throttling it?

When you are stopped in gear put all the brakes on full and experiment with it, push the throttle all the way open and see if it stumbles while not moving.

Oh crud.... Do you have a standard tranny in it? Not easy to do this load test wqith a standard tranny....
