WTF?!? Ford Camaro!

Pontiac people did have it rough. Even GM used non-Pontiac motors in some Trans Ams. The Olds was bad, but the Turbo Buick was good IMO.

I thought he was talking about Chris Uratchko with the red/orange 69 Camaro thats sporting a tricked out stroker Windsor that runs mid 8's in the quarter mile.

Chris definitely knows his stuff and his car is one fast sweet looking machine. Small block ford and I'm fairly sure it runs those numbers on motor only.

just saw the episode again last night, Pat Neil, yep thats him! That 81 is insane! Low 8s on motor, holy carp! I wish I knew what he was running, or at least a general idea. If he can do that with a winsor I wonder what I might be able to do with a 434 if I run it on E85? Any ideas?

This Camaro is Pat Neil's from Tucson.
The motor in it now is a 500" CI all-aluminum Alcohol motor out of a Drag boat. Home made aluminum sheet metal manifold and dual old beat up 950s. car runs low 9's on the motor and 8.30 on a 200 Shot of juice.
It's an old Pro-Stock tube car.

He was in the 1/4 finals in Phoenix and runner-up in the fastest car competition in Tucson for Pinks all out.

Did anyone catch how clueless he tended to be. I was even questioning his driving abilities... but the funny thing is, he was right there in the end for the 10k. I was watching that episode with my dad and I told him... it's funny because you have to watch people like that that come off as this is their first time... and they don't know what they're doing. He knew very well what he was doing in the end. I think the car itself was crap... that's why they never showed it completely, but the motor was awesome. Great episode.

I've had a number of different muscle cars and still don't much favor one over the other, BUT I do like to see it when someone does put a ford in a chevy.

I have a buddy that has a Plymouth. He's an oleschool guy that retired from Chrysler... was an assembly line mechanic. Anyway, he built a real nice 305 chevy and a nice 302 Ford.

Which one do you think he went with. You got it, the 305 is waiting for another donor car.
