Re: Rear Seal Leak

Either the crank has a small lip in the rear seal area(2 piece) or it doesn't.

Re: Rear Seal Leak

I don't think your leak has anything to do with the blower but your crank case pressure readings may prove me wrong!!

All older "Rope Seal" blocks that were changed to "Two Piece" neoprene seals are prone to leak.....believe me I know as it took a year and 5 or 6 engine removals to fix mine!!!

Your best bet is to sleeve the seal journal....that will fix it guaranteed!!! Mine has not leaked a DROP in 4 years or so!!!

BTW, you can hook up your PCV in the normal fashion using a Ford valve that closes when it sees boost pressure in the intake manifold.....I have an EV-111 on my 04 Marauder and have never had any pressure problems...2 years and 71K miles with the blower....156K miles on the car now!!

You can check with Ford parts and get one for T-Bird-SC or Mustangs with SC....maybe even one for a SC Lightning!!??

GOOD LUCK!!! I HATE OIL LEAKS....GRRRRRRRR!!!!
