best carb/intake for bone stock HO motor

This one will be bone stock. What seems to be the best intake and carb combo for these motors. I am building this one for the wife.

This is the one with forged pistons and E7 heads. I am looking for the least amount of tuning when installed. I don't want to be bothered with EFI and I do realize I may loose a little mpg, but carbs are a lot easier to set-up.

I would run a edelbrock rpm or a stealth with a 600-650 cfm carb...Is the trans an auto or stick?...I prefer double pumpers on my performance stuff but a vacuum secondary will give you better mileage if its a daily driver.

Re: best carb/intake for bone stock HO motor

We will run an AOD in this one. It will be more of a sunday driver/show type car. Which of the carbs would be plenty for the set-up. I know efi is best for driving, I just don't like the efi look in the early stangs... although... and this always happens, I did see a nice stang with a nicely polished cobra intake on it. Kind of got me thinking...hmmm.

I'll have to outweigh cost on that one. And in this case, I think it really enhanced the engine compartment. Also, now that I know fuel economy is a problem with carb, how much more are we talking, significant, moderate... what??

With the AOD and a show and shine driver you should probably stick to a vacuum secondary...Did you check out the fordmuscle carb and intake swap in the tech section?

Holly 500 2 barrel. Super simple, easy to tune, and cheap too. Best of all it has mileage, and when you kick it in the rear it will go like all get out with no secondary bog etc. Manifold..... I would go with a Summit stage 1 dual plane or the stage 2. Great low end manifolds, and best of all again there cheap

Stock Ford manifold with a 390 CFM Holley 4 barrel. Goes well and mileage (on mine) open road approx. 23-25. Regards. John--Las Vegas.

Weiand Stealth and 570 CFM Holley Street Avenger makes a nice combo on a stock 302. Plus it will support additional upgrades if you decide to change something in the future.

I think the edel 1405/1406 will be beter than the 570, and it is easier to tune, cheaper and has beter results, you should read this article before choosing.
