351 windsor in a 1967 Fairlane GTA?

I have a 1995 Mustang with a built 351 stroker motor. I am considering having that put into my 1967 Fairlane. The Fairlane currently has a 390 FE motor with a C6.

Are the motor mounts the same? How hard would it be to get the 351 into the Fairlane? Of course, I'd have to convert it to a carbed setup

For the stang, I'd either sell it as a roller, or put a JY 302 in it.

No the mounts are different for a big block car..You would need to get the mounts and related pieces from a 289 car....Not sure what your plans are for the car but the FE stuff adds a touch of cool in my opinion.

Good Choice - I'm doing a similar swap - 351w into my 65 Tbird - haven't done the math or the measuring yet but it should be a fairly easy fab up. I plan on setting the engine back and as low as possible - I may be able to simply use some back gusseted flat or angle and bolt to the single fe crossmember holes and simply bolt the early 351w mount to the plate as well. If I get going on this in a reasonable time frame I'll keep you posted - do the same if you would. - Birdman

IIRC, the big block C6 will not mount to a small block. You would need to install a different tranny.

I would also do what I could to keep the FE installed.

the thing is, my wife is insisting that i sell the mustang, and i don't want to lose that motor. i'm thinking this way i wouldn't feel bad about saying goodbye to the stang.
