You get what you pay for, do you want the best or do you want a cheap one?

Depends on your application, The Edlebrock is a nice piece and well proven.

Re: best intake for a carbed 302

When I tested the RPM against the RPM Airgap, there was no differance becaused I blockoff the heat riser that puts hot exhaust under the carb. That is the ONLY differance between the two manifolds. If you have heads without a heat riser hole, there wont be any differance at all.

Re: best intake for a carbed 302

RPM is a better choice for the combo you've described but the Victor will work if you don't have the scratch to get one right away.

Re: best intake for a carbed 302

the victor jr will make more power above 55 to 5700 rpm. It does hurt you pretty much below 4000. The biggest differrance is at 30 to 3500. The tamer your combo, the less it wiill hurt you on bottom endd.

Re: best intake for a carbed 302

I prefer the Weiand Stealth to the RPM, and yes I have run both. ran 13.80's with the Edelbrock. Changed to the Stealth, picked up a tenth. Absolutely no other changes performed at the time. Engine eventually went 13.40's and .50's on the Stealth. This engine was run at altitude. At Topeka the Stealth supported 12.80's without any problems at all. Yes, there are alternatives to Edelbrock.
