mini spool Removal

Ok, ive done research and i find all kinds of websites to install a mini spool. i have one installed in my 1965 wagon from the P.O. and i hate it. at this point i dont mind the one wheel peel.
my question is what are the components i need to buy to revert back to stock? its a ford 9'' rear end.
spider gears? shims? its been regeared so everything is damn near new.
thanks-
Raf

Re: mini spool Removal

The easiest thing to do would be to buy a junkyard diff and get the centersection with the spiders in it. If you want a posi, a Powertrax can be had for about $250.00. If you want new spiders and shims, give Randy's Ring & Pinion a call, they have everything you need.

Re: mini spool Removal

You should be able to get an open diff for almost free if not free. Swapping your ring gear would be easy. Pinion depth is the hard thing to get right. Changing the diff only requires resetting backlash, which will need to be done even if you convert your diff to either spider gears or power trax.
