throttle linkage

I am going to put a torker ll intake on my 69 Torino 302 2bl. This mod will include a 600 holley. I cannot find any info on throttle linkage hookup or mods or any problems I may encounter doing this swap. I now have the 2bl linkage and kickdown setup. Can I modify existing linkage to work on this 4bl mod?

Re: throttle linkage

Just get teh Ford Kit from Edelbrock, it's like $15 bucks, that will have all you need to make your stuff work on it

Re: throttle linkage

I called them yesterday and talked to the tech line and he told me to spend 125.00 and buy a locar cable set up. that,s too much...He did not mention the 15.00 kit how can I find it or order it?

Re: throttle linkage

Kragen sell's edelbrock stuff on the shelf. Walk in and look for the one that say's Ford adaptor likage. or similar words.

If it's your throttle CABLE that's preventing you from doing this Lokar might be the way to go and E-bay has Lokar cables pretty cheap...

Let me see a pic of what you currently have for cable at teh carb and I'll tell you if you're on the right track. (if I can)

Re: throttle linkage

lokar stuff is really nice. I got the cable throttle setup, much better than the old rod technology

Re: throttle linkage

Before I got the lokar setup on my 69 Torino, i made a rod that went from the firewall pivot bar to the carb. It worked okay but my victor manifold is pretty high so it never did get full throttle. That shouldn't be a problem with your torker since its fairly low. I probably have a picture of the old setup somewhere, but like others said you shouldn't have to go the lokar route although i prefer the cable setup.

Oh and to clear things up, 69's didn't use a cable setup.
