1978 ford 302

hi, new to fords been using other brands, dont think i need to say any more on that subject. on a mechanical fuel pump for a 78 ford 302 does this have a puch rod or a centrifigul on the cam thanks.

Ford motors use a eccentric bolted on to the end of the camshaft....no pushrods to mess with.

thanks for the ino, do you know can these eccentrics go bad.

There is a tab that is on the eccentric that fits in the hole where the dowell pin is at for the camshaft. It follows the came gear. I've seen after years of use that little piece of metal break and wont spin with the cam gear.
