strut front end drag car

i bought a car that was started by someone else. the struts are mounted but the hood, fenders, grill none of the exterior was ever mounted back on the car. does anyone have pictures or suggestions on how they mounted these on their cars. I'm gonna use a fiberglass hood and bumper, fenders will be steel. also, there is no core support or inner fenderwells and the firewall has been moved back. i've seen the front end mounting kits in some chassis books but they appear to be for 1 piece fiberglass front ends.

I used sq tubing to hold the fenders on a 64 fairlane. The car has modified shock towers. Welded the tubing to the firewall and along the inner fender and then to the rad support. I used 3/4" or 1" sq tubing.

Re: strut front end drag car

Sounds similar to mine, but I am using A-arms instead of struts. But I will snap a few pics and that will give you an idea how everythign mounts. Pretty simple. Basically, there is two small round tube struts running from the cage forward tubes up to the front fenders. Then there is a piece of 1" square aluminum tubing that runs between the fenders that doubles as a place for the hood pins and an upper radiator support. The lower part of the radiator is mounted to the frame (Scirroco radiator) via welded tabs. Very simple and easy to work on.
