Serpentine Belt Or V Belt ?

I just bought a new manual rack for our Fox Body and am removing the PS.

We currently run the serpentine belt and pulley system.

At this point I will only be driving the water pump and alt off the belt.

I kind of like the serpentine system, is there any advantage to a V-belt?

nope.

Here are two examples of what I did on my car (manual steering) Of course I also dont have an air pump or A/C either. OF course in the one pic I had to get the correct length belt.

I like your ideas. I found a way to use stock parts with AC and only had to drill one hole. It took a few tries to get the right belt. Do you just look at it and start playing with the parts you have? It seems like sometimes a few days later for me....the light bulb just goes off. Oh back to subject - use the ribbed belt. They last forever and if you use a big alternator etc it will be good. Nice work Z7. Mark
