Points Eliminator Kit....

Are points eliminator kits worth the money? I'm running a pretty much stock 302 with Accel coil and wires, with an ignition controller in the works, and was thinking that my next upgrade should be an Accel Points Eliminator Kit part no. 2020.

What are the benifits, if any?

Personally, I'd go with Ford's Duraspark II. You can even reuse your wires and such if you'd like, or you can upgrade to the bigger cap.

I've been running an Accel distributor with a Pertronix module for about five years. I carry points in the tool box just in case the Pertronix craps out. With the Duraspark you could get parts just about anywhere.

How did the combination of the Accel distributor and the Pertronix work for you. Is the Pertronix the ignitor 1 or the ignitor 2. Is it hooked up just to the coil with as the instructions state, or did you find a full 12v supply.
