Best place to mount a coil?

Where is the best place to mount a 29440 Mallory coil. It's a square one. I have a 1966 Ford Fairlane. Not much under the hood... no heat, manual steering & brakes.

As close as possible to distributer so to have short coil wire. Mount in cool place so it does not over heat.

On the head and the flow from the fan will hit it.

It is always best to mount the coil away from heat and the vibration of the engine. I like to mount mine on the inner fender. Next to the solenoid is a good place.
