what rear will fit the early 2000 generation mustangs?

Will the rearend from the late 80's-90's mustang body swap/bolt into the late 90's-mid 2000 mustang body style?

Thanks, Chris

Don't quote me but I think you can, but you will need wheel spacers.

why do you want the swap, newer mustangs use the same size rear end but the use a 5 bolt pattern rather then 4 and they come with disc brakes

I have a friend with a 2000 6cyl stang and the rearend needs new bearings/gears. I've got a low mileage 86 or 87 8.8" posi 4 lug drum brake rear that she could use; if it fits and is close to the same ratio.

AHhh I see I dont know about that swap but I dont think it would work lots of differences between the years I am betting and sensors and other things maybe check a junk yard in your area for similar mustangs?
