Re: 460 oil pressure issue starting at 4600 RPMs

Here's an update on the situation. Armondo's pan is installed and ready for the lake Monday.

Here are some pictures of the differance between pans. They are major differances to say the least. I only hope this post helps someone else.

I have a good feeling about this pan. The MSD 6AL is hooked back up and functioning, I installed a fuel filter water seperator and put the new 750 back on with the lighter secondary spring.

I didn't regap the plugs yet, do you guys think the MSD will like .035?

If all goes well Monday I'll gap them at .050 when we get home.

We're ready to go!

I had some spare time so the MSD will get the .050 gap after all.

Re: 460 oil pressure issue starting at 4600 RPMs

I'm sure glad I saw your post. I just got off the phone with Tom at Milodon. He said "no problem we'll take it back"

I calle Summit, they called Tom and my shipping label is printing as we speak. All is well, I must say Milodon still has my respect.

That's a far cry from the beginning where it was all oil pump related.

I talked to Ken the first time. All I can say is if you call them ask for Tom.

Thank you for your post!

Did you get an Armondo's pan too?

Re: 460 oil pressure issue starting at 4600 RPMs

Here's the last post, today at 5200 RPM's the motor lost NO OIL PRESSURE!!!!!

That's with the full load of 10 quarts of oil in Armondo's pan.

Job done!

Enjoy your new pan, I know your engine will

I would again like to thank everyone for their time and posts in solving this problem.

So Milodon is standing behind thier product and having Summit give me a full refund and paying
the return shipping to boot.

They both have my respect and will have my business in the future.

Just not a Milodon 460 marine oil pan

Re: 460 oil pressure issue starting at 4600 RPMs

So glad to finally find the solution to this mess, I have been fighting the same problem for 8 yrs. Same pan on a CJ block. Lifters would colapse after 30 seconds under full load around 4400 rpm Milodon wouldn't tell me there was an issue with their pan. Thanks for the informative thread. Anyone have one of Armondo's pans laying around?
