The above link is a blank page...

Only a couple way's to DOUBLE your fuel mileage peoples.... Cut the car in half, or double the efficiency of your combustion process...

Re: double your miles per gallon

I prefer the wrong speedo gear method myself. Then take fuel consumed divide by your grossly inflated mileage and voila instant mileage boost.

I think the green car guide is outdated for the diesel cars break even period shorter than a hybrid. Diesel is less than 10 cents from $5 here almost a dollar more than premium.

I see what he means, the white ads to the right. I clicked it and didn't see anything.

Re: double your miles per gallon

That guy went from 38 MPG to 48 MPG using his water ayatem... Even got some water in the car and made it run poopy for a little bit....

But a 10 MPG increase is a FAR CRY from Doubling your fuel mileage.... Sodium bicarbonate and distilled water and a hydrogen separator thingy... sounds cool... Where's the added benefit of power increase and stuff like that?

Re: double your miles per gallon

Check Youtube on Hydrogen cars and you'll see tons of people posting vids of home-made electrolysis contraptions feeding through bubblers going into the intake.

Lots of claims but no "hard" facts.

Closest I've been exposed is the old "my friend says he's built a hydrogen generator and went from 11mpg to 36 on his truck"

I haven't seen it but I'm temped to build one just to prove him wrong.

If you google "browns gas" or "HHO" you can find all kinds of claims.

In theory, if you plumb a propane tank into your incoming airstream (fuel injected vehicles) the O2 should read rich and compensate by "leaning" the A/F thereby "increasing" your GASOLINE mileage, but that doesn't take into account the propane you'd be burning.

I suspect that the HHO you generate and burn would lead to similar conclusions and GAINS in miles per gallon OF GASOLINE would increase, but I'm not sure it'd be much.

Re: double your miles per gallon

I've heard those new sealed roller muffler bearing kits will add 12 mpg.

HA!

I think this post was spam, someone should delete it. ALTHOUGH it is a very hot topic and should be talked about you cannot deny that it is putting a damper on our hobby. If gas becomes 10.00 a gallon, I will pay it to hear my v8 purr up and take it up down the road. I simply cannot live without it. But that means less go fast parts, which is a bummer.

BUT, I think its great gear heads are thinking outside the box on using an alternate source of power for their hot rods. The great thing about the love of the hobby is that when you can no longer afford gas, you WILL still find any way possible to have fun on 4 wheels, even if its not a pushrod v8. But untill then, when you can run 10's and get 36mpg, I'll start listening.

Im curious to see how the gas prices and "whole green stuff" is effecting you guys.
