1992 Ford Taurus front motor mount
I need a quick answer if possible to this one. How do you change a front motor mount on a
3.8 Taurus?
I'm going to work on my daughters car this afternoon.
Do you have to turn the car upside down and take it out through the trunk??? Or is it a normal mount replacement?
I hate front wheel drive!

You really need a chrome 18 mill mid deep wobble socket if I remember correctly. With that you get top bolt. I have changed a ton of these

I have a deep socket, a shallow socket and wobble extensions, will that work? I had to order a mount, it'll be here tomorrow.

Pretty simple. All you gotta do is hold the motor with a jack or sommat and everything will be ok.

Deep is too deep shallow is too shallow. Need mid deep wobble. Wobble and socket is to long. Done this many times

Where can I get one of those sockets? What brand name? I haven't found anything for a medium height wobble socket. What do you call it?

I use a deep socket with the extension not fully inserted into the tail of the socket... Break it free then take out out.

I'll give that a try. She's been working OT so I haven't had a chance to work on it. Where however can you buy Mid length sockets? I've never even heard of them before.

I'm sure if you can name it it's on a snapon truck somewhere...
But, Mid-Length sounds like a not so deep deep well to me...

Is it an 18mm socket? If it is I'll just cut down a full length cheapie if need be.
