Well...lots of people have gotten away with a front plate and rear trans mount alone, but it's a lot easier in the long run to put a mid plate in there along with the limiters. Makes pulling the transmission a breeze if you ever have to. Not to mention that using a front with a mid and rear trans mount (all 3 combined) really stiffens up the front chassis. That's important on a unibody car that has a cheezy sheet metal frame (like mine). If you run a 1/8" steel plate, you can eliminate the block shim plate and won't have to shim the converter or starter...usually. I didn't anyway and I run a 'glide. It works just fine.
