Holley adjust a plate

Have any of you tried this product? It seems like the idea of the ages if it works.
No more jets, spilled gas, torn gaskets..... I'm just a little skeptical

Re: Holley adjust a plate

If memory serves, that came out in the late 70's or early 80's. It wasn't a bad product, but overpriced for what it did as the amount of adjustment was not that much..

Re: Holley adjust a plate

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these rather new based on Vince's plate? I've been fuel injection for the last 12 years so, I'm out of touch with the carbs.

I need to finish dialing in my 460 and am considering this modification.

Has anyone used this stuff lately?

Re: Holley adjust a plate

Wasn't it Barry Grant that had a plate that took a cartridge in from the top, at an angle, that you could place a jet in? unscrew, change jet and jam it back in. I like that idea but it must have not taken off.

Re: Holley adjust a plate

I don't know where Vince came from, It was Percy.

I thought till I got a jet remover and a few ranges of jets, gaskets, it would be close enough to make the plate practicle. The Holley model is on ebay for $49.00

I saw to many jets screwed up with screwdrivers in my day to use them. Then there is the gaskets, fuel draining, general pain in the butt mess doing it.

I think I'll try one but which brand, Is Holley a cheap knock off of the Percy model or is it better?
I want the one that will work the best and the longest.

Has anyone used the Holley?

Re: Holley adjust a plate

Use the Holley part. Holley knows more about their carbs than anyone else.

Re: Holley adjust a plate

I checked Jegs, got 70-80 jets for $14.99 I have spare gaskets so I just went that way. Maybe we'll high tech next time.
