Engine tag... 390GT?
Hi, Was hoping someone could help me decipher the engine tag on the engine in my 1969 Torino Talladega. I know the engine isn't the original 428CJ. The tag reads: 390 69 1 last row: 9 C K 383 S I surmise that the code is 390 (engine size) 69 (Engine year) 1 (change level) 9 (1969) C (March) K (?) 383 (? engine identifier, not sure what it refers to) S (I am guessing "S" code engine). If anyone can fill in the blanks I sure would appreciate it. Also the intake manifold is GT390, the heads casting number is correct so just might be GT390 heads.
