anybody ran a spool on the road in a truck with big tires?

Just wondering. I run a true trac now which I love because it is a super tight limited slip. However as my tires got larger and larger my tru trac gets effectively looser and looser. So i was thinking I might be able to get away with a spool. The bigger the tires the less they turn around corners and the less chirp I think I would experience. Would spools be more forgiving with BIG tires?

Nope, if you're going to spool it, you might as well just buy another 3rd member and weld it up. It's a lot cheaper. As for tires, you will get a fair amount of chirping and you will also notice tire wear speeds up a bit. If you are going that route, i would suggest buying a second set of rims with street tires so you don't wear out your good rubber on the street, just beware when the road gets wet.
