neutral safety switch 68

hey guys,

anyone know where I can get my hands on a neutral safety switch for my 68 torino column shift?

used is fine for now

any help would be greatly appreciated

this is the closest I can find so far, mine has 4 wires



the part number is c8aa-7A247

Ralphw, is the neutral safety switch in the steering column? if so i dont have one as i have a stick car converted to an automatic. i do have a neutral switch hanging down that if i push it doesnt allow it to start. I can look and see if its like the one you have pictured

Thanks for your reply,,,, I think that would be different than mine, and yes its right down by the firewall inside the car on the column with 4 wires and a plug,

i think i may have found one though,

check this out: Mustangs Plus*::*Drivetrain*::*Neutral Safety Switches if you dont see it here, call them, they helped me with unlisted parts I needed.

I got one off eBay for like $26 shipped. New. I got lucky.
PArt #s on Motorcraft box are
D1PZ-7A247-A
SW-868-A <-- I think that is the newer part #.

The vendor was Old Time Garage
