Steering Gear Box Change out

I just received a quote to change out the steering gear box on my 1995 F150. $600 - $700. How hard is this to do? Where can I find the instructions on how to do It? The gear box they quoted was $300. Where can I get one for less?

I'd go to my local junkyard and pick up a used part with the pitman arm still attached. Assuming you have power steering, you'll need to make sure the hose fittings are the same between the "new" part and your old one. Then it's just a matter of removing the old part and reversing the process with the "new" part.
