Light switch?

I am putting an aftermarket wiring in my sons '63 FALCON.I'm tring to wire the headlight switch.Does anyone know which termanals on a FORD switch is which.A labled diagram. Thanks Ken N.

i don't have a diagram, but since that's only a two position switch you can put power to it and then pull the switch to the first position for park lights, and then with a test light see which terminals are hot. Same thing with the headlight position.

Once those are determined use the same procedure for the dash lights. Turn the rheostat on the switch and you'll see the test light dim and get brighter when you are on the dash / dome light circuit.

cant stress this enough. You need one of these even if you only use it once. It pays for itself in aggravation saved.

57-65 Ford Wiring Diagrams

There should be a Falcon diagram in there.

I've attached this scan of the light switch internal connections so with the two pieces of info you should have what you need.
