Re: Looking For A Proven Combo 351w Base 750 Hp

There was a guy that used to post on here with a 438 stroker that made 750hp. I think there are some videos of him running 8's floating around on this site somewhere. I'm pretty sure he sold his ride so that he could spend more time/money with his family. I'm not sure if he still posts here.

http://www.fordmuscle.com/forums/dyn...o-results.html

I'm sure you could shoot him an email and he'd tell you everything he did to make 750hp.

750 HP small block, all parts must be aftermarket. BBF 385 seris can make that with a stock block and live on the street also, you start with 429 cubes and goes up very quick to 572 with the right stock block

I Plan On Using A Dart Block For Starters I Also Plan On Using Ported Afr225 Heads (but I Have Been Told That They Will Only Make 650 Hp)
Solid Roller Cam
Looks Like It Is Going To Be 427 Cubic Inch
Eagle Forged Crank And Scat H Beam Rods Srp Pistons.
Victor Intake

Obviously I Am Not Concearned About Doing This Cheap I Just Want To Do It Right ! I See To Many Horror Stories On Here That Say .........well Didnt Make What I Thought It Should !!!!!!!!!!!!

Your getting a bunch of BAD information. I did a 375 cubic inch engine a few years ago for Hot Rod magazine. It made 816 HP with the AFR 225 heads. Keep on asking for help from people who dont know what they are talking about and you will be allright.

Re: Looking For A Proven Combo 351w Base 750 Hp

You'll need higher end heads for your goal, and the 4.125" bore block (an option) will also be handy. The higher end heads are what pushes the total from around 650hp to 750hp... and the cost from your $16k to $20k.

You might get close to 700hp with the 225's, but unless you are Joe Sherman, you will probably end up around 650.

Drag79stang made around 700hp with his AFR heads that were ported by Ed Curtis, and it did tickle high 8's once he hit it with the bottle. As was said, he has since sold the car. It was a tubbed, lightweight, drag-ONLY car.

How fast do you want to spend? THAT is the question.

If you live close to CA, you just might want to have your checkbook handy, and give Mr. Sherman a call.
