wheels for 5/8" studs

Will I need special wheels for a rear end in that has 5/8" studs on the axles or will my prostars fit? Been seasrcing but can't find a definitive answer. This car will see street time too so I'd rather not get a race only wheel like a magnum or bogart or something like that.

Re: wheels for 5/8" studs

I may be wrong but I do believe Pro Stars already have larger holes. I haven't measured the hole diameter, but I'm pretty sure it's 5/8 or slightly larger already. I do know that the lug nuts are shoulder nuts that go all the way through the rims. I'd have to go measure mine to be sure...but I'm 99% positive that they'll work with 5/8" studs.

Re: wheels for 5/8" studs

so get the correct lug nnut and i'm ready to roll. Thnks guys. Found a deal on a used nine inch with everything done to it (35 spline axles, 1350 yoke, disc brakes, back brace, etc.) that will drop right into my 68.

Re: wheels for 5/8" studs

Yes the 5/8" wheel studs will fit those wheels. I have done it. Just use the wheel nuts that came with the 5/8" wheel studs though. Cause the hole in the wheels is a real good fit for the studs so u cant use the other nuts that have the shoulder on them.
