master cylinder gasket

I'm having some difficulty finding a replacement gasket for my master cylinder (dual reservoir). It's on my race car, but I think the master cylinder came from a late 70s mustang II----at least that's what the previous owner said. I do have a part number on the gasket but local auto parts stores can't seem to cross-reference the part. It's very frustrating. With a new gasket, maybe I can avoid another round of brake bleeding.

Here's what was stamped on the gasket :

AB1

BENDIX
2225441

53

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: master cylinder gasket

If it is in fact a MUST II, the FORD PN is (or was) D1FZ 2167-A R/B D1FZ 2167-B.

That may help.

Thanks. I went to a Ford dealer....all obsolete parts.

However, I went to a local auto parts store and I finally found one that fit. It's in the 'HELP' brand parts. The other stores I went to didn't have that particular one.

It seems to be working okay.

Re: master cylinder gasket

I'd be interested to see that Probe housing that big block. I was looking to stuff a small block in one for the street.
