351C distributor

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here. I'm hoping to find some of you 351C guru's who can answer a few questions about stock distributors for a 351C. i have rebuilt a few SBF and one 351C but i have never had a situation regarding the distributor

- Is there any real differance (other than the gear) between a 351C distributor and a small block ford distributor (289/302) ?

-Will a distributor from a SBF 289/302 motor work properly in a 351C (with correct gear)?

- If it will, what type of gear do i need. i have heard you need a a different gear if you dont have a stock cam in the motor.

-If I obtain a stock 351C distributor that is missing the gear, what type of gear do I need to use on the distributor.

Again, go easy on me here. Its something i am not familair with when it comes to the 351C

351C and 429-460 have the same distributor. Some 351w and 302 will interchange with a gear swap.

need the gear to match the type of cam -- steel roller or cast , what you got?
