Re: Earth Friendly 5mph Bumper

There is a guy kicking around on other forums with a S&H Torino, and he made a front bumper support/setup out of aluminum stock.

"Pitty to see these nice cars to be limped by people"

You may change this point of view by seeing the condition of the car when I pulled it out of a chicken coop in 2001. We winched it out from 100 ft away because the roof of the chicken collapsed on top of the car. I resurrected this car from the dead over the past seven years. The picture in my sig is from 2008. The attached image is from 2001. Far from limp.

Re: Earth Friendly 5mph Bumper

Cool write up, I can see your car is much greener than before. I think the side is the best view, it looks spectacular from that angle. Maybe it's cause I don't like the front mainly the grill . Did you paint it yourself? Is the stripe a decal? and Whats the color called?

Re: Earth Friendly 5mph Bumper

Thanks BlueOval. It's a green from the 2008 Land Rover lineup. They call it "Tonga Green". My neighbor painted it in his garage. The stripe was painted on.

Or you can put some smaller wheels underneath the car, having less rolling resistance...

Handycapping?? Come on 5mph impact bumpers were a joke the day they were made compliments of our Government protecting us from ourselves!! Anything over 5mph and you were toast anyways cause the weight of the bumper helped with nose dive and would take out everything above the bumper!!!
